Hurricane Information
When a storm enters the Gulf of Mexico we are on alert.
If it appears to have a possible landfall that may be near New Orleans, we prepare for evacuation.
Since we have to have time to care for every pet in our trust before we leave, as well as, care for our business, homes and families, we close early to make sure all work can be completed.
If we have not had the opportunity to schedule a homecoming for your pet, We then take his/her urn/ashes with us when we leave. _Please note-- we will not evacuate with ashes that we have not been able to reach the owner/families for more than 3 weeks or ashes that have been abandoned = paid for or not. We will place these urns/ashes in as safe and as high a location as possible before we leave.
You may reach us online during an evacuation at our email: ageespetcrematorium@yahoo.com we check this email usually at least once daily during evacuations (weather and electriciy permitting).
Note:
Please take your pets with you if you leave. There are several pet friendly hotels and even more during emergencies.
There is a wonderful organization:
Louisiana State Animal Rescue Team
who aid in animal evacuations and emergencies.
